Announcing the Season 19 / Season 1 – Crystal League Championships

Albion’s high-stakes Crystal League competition is coming on both Albion East and West!

GENERAL INFO & TIMELINE

The Championship will take place in the offseason.
This time the CLC will be different from previous seasons, with two tournaments taking place over the weekend.

EAST server CLC Saturday, June 10th: 10:00 UTC – 15:00 UTC
WEST server CLC Sunday, June 11th: 17 UTC – 22:00 UTC

  • The above end times are approximate, depending on how long matches go on.
  • Battles will be Non-Lethal AND hard-capped at 1800 IP. Players will have to bring their own gear.
  • Matches will run through the in-game scrim UI. Specific times will be provided to the participants prior to each match.
  • Teams should be prepared to play matches back-to-back if required.
  • Teams will be playing in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches (BO3).

Timeline:

  • Qualifying teams will be announced on Monday, June 5th
  • Once teams have been announced, they must send the following information to @Emii within 24h
    • 1. Team name
    • 2. Name of designated substitute
    • 3. Name of designated Team Captain
    • 4. Exact names of every team member
    • 5. Team logo (via one of the two following methods)

  • Changes to substitutes can be made up to 72 hours (three days) before the Championship starts.
    • No further changes are allowed after that.

We will select 8 teams to participate in the Championship for each server, which means 4 teams from the Lethal league, and 4 teams from the Non-lethal.

We believe that it is not fair for teams to qualify for the CLC by only playing during the last week and winning a single level 9 match, over those that have actively played throughout the whole season.
With that in mind, we have created a points system that will hopefully give everyone an equal chance of qualifying.
Furthermore, no-shows will count the same as full wins within this system.

  • Level 5 = 5 points
  • Level 6 = 10 points
  • Level 7 = 20 points
  • Level 8 = 40 points
  • Level 9 = 80 points

In addition:

  • Wins will be counted based on teams with at least 4 consistent characters.
  • Players cannot switch teams and try to qualify for the Championship with multiple teams.
  • Players cannot qualify for both the East and West server CLC.

RULES

General rules

  • Each team must assign a Captain to be the main point of contact between the Championship organizers, Game Masters, and the team.
  • Each team can allocate one substitute in addition to the five team members for the entire Championship
  • All matches must be initiated via the Private Island located in Fort Sterling
  • Teams should only sign up for the match slots to which they have been assigned by the Championship organizers and/or Game Masters.
  • Use of exploits and/or glitches is not allowed in the Championship.
  • Each team must act in the spirit of sportsmanship and work towards its own victory in all matches; if anyone is suspected of violating this (for instance, by colluding and/or intentionally not competing) they will be penalized
  • Each team must send in their respective information at the required time.
    • If the team fails to do so, they may be disqualified from the tournament and replaced with a substitute team.

Rules for qualification

  • A Player counts as “qualified” if the following criteria are met:
    • The player must use the same account that played in the qualifying Season 19 (West) / Season 1 (East) Crystal League matches.
    • The player can only qualify for the tournament once through either the Lethal or Non-lethal format.
    • The participating account has won at least two level 5 matches or a single level 6+ match in either the Lethal or Non-lethal 5v5 crystals in the current or previous season.
    • Participating with two or more characters that belong to the same player is prohibited – this also includes joining other participating teams via a different character.
  • A team counts as qualified if the following criteria are met:
    • The team consists of five qualified players, at least three of whom must have qualified with the same team during Season 19
    • The team has handed in their team info at the required date and time
    • The team is not using a Name, Icon, Character names, Guild names, or Alliance names that would go against Albion’s Terms and Conditions

Rules for Matches and Breaks

  • Each team must be ready to start the match at the time that is given to them by the Game Master or Championship Organizer
  • Natural Breaks between matches will always be at least 5 minutes, however, the actual time of the match will be given by the respective GM responsible for the team
  • If a team needs to take more time between matches, they may request it, however, this will only be granted two times to each team during the championship
  • A requested longer break may under no circumstances exceed a limit of 15 minutes.
  • If a sign-up fails due to the members not being signed up, it will count toward the limit of two extended breaks. Exceptions to this rule can be made at the discretion of the championship organizer under special circumstances.
  • If a team exceeds the maximum amount of 15 minutes, does not respond to their GM in time, or has exceeded their limit of two sign-up fails, the match will be forfeited, giving one win to the opposing team.
  • All rules are subject to the discretion of the championship organizer. Under special circumstances exceptions may be made, but teams are not entitled to them.

Substitute rules

  • The substitute can be used in all matches.
  • If a team decides to use its substitute in a match, the Captain should indicate this to the Game Master they are allocated to prior to the specific match.
  • Substitutes for the winning teams will be awarded the same prizes as their team members.
  • Changes to substitutes can be made up to 72 hours (three days) before the Championship starts. No further changes, for any reason, are allowed after that.
  • A team loses their option for a substitute when two out of five players from their qualified roster need to be replaced.
